For now, I’ll be talking about making them in a microwave as it is the easiest and convenient way of preparing frozen french fries.
Steps to cook frozen fries in a microwave –
1. Take the fries out of the fridge
The first step is to take the frozen french fries out of the fridge. Then spread them on a baking sheet.
If you have purchased frozen fries specifically designed for microwaves, follow the instructions on the box.
Some packed frozen fries designed for microwaves do not require you to take the french fries out of the box; instead, you can place the packed container in the microwave.
2. Place the Baking sheet on a microwave-safe plate.
Tip: If you’re worried about them being soggy and not crispy. Then, add some vegetable oil to the baking paper so the fries can get crunchy.
Now put the frozen french fries onto the baking sheet and make sure the fries are evenly spread so they won’t stick together when cooked.
I recommend doing this in several batches of all the french fries that can be evenly and nicely cook.

3. Put the Microwave-safe plate in the microwave.
When done with the above steps, you can place the microwave-safe plate along with the baking sheet and fries in the microwave.
As you already have added some oil to the baking sheet, the fires won’t be that soggy after cooking.
So, now, place it in the microwave, and you are good to go. You can adjust the cooking time based on how large your french fries are, but generally, 8-12 minutes is enough for them.
4. Keep an eye on the fries while they cook.
While the fries are cooking, you may need to toss them around, so they don’t get stuck at one side. I prefer doing this after every 2 minutes or so.
So if you are cooking the frozen french fries in a microwave for about 10 minutes, you should turn them at least 4-5 times to ensure the optimum result.
Doing this will also make sure they are evenly cooked and not burnt from any side.
This step is crucial. You do not want fries to get burnt, nor you want them to be soggy.
5. Take the fries out of the microwave.
That’s all, and now you can take the frozen french fries (which no longer are frozen) out of the microwave. First, take the microwave-safe plate out with a baking sheet and french fries.
Now spread the cooked fires onto a regular place and let them cool; wait until they get cool.
6. Eat & Enjoy!
Once they are cooled down, you can eat them with your favorite sauce or plain.
If you have followed the same steps, you will end up getting crunchy, crispy french fries that have been conveniently made in the microwave.

Generally, you can add some vegetable oil either on top of the fries or onto the baking sheet you will use while cooking fries. Doing so can prevent fires from getting soggy to a certain extent, but it can not neglect it.
Also, make sure to turn the fries around to make sure they are not limp and wait till they turn crispy golden brown.
